American depositary receipts of European stocks were trading 0.49% lower at 133.43 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Monday. In continental Europe, the gainers were led by medical equipment company Edap (EDAP), which surged 9.7%, followed by biopharmaceutical company Argenx (ARGX), which increased 3.4%. Communications services provider VEON Com (VEON), and healthcare company Novo Nordisk (NVO) rose 2.4% and 1.6% each.
The decliners in continental Europe were led by semiconductor company STMicroelectronics (STM), and software company Talend (TLND), which fell 6.3% and 6.1% respectively. They were followed by Logitech (LOGI), a provider of personal computer and mobile accessories, and 3D printer manufacturer voxeljet (VJET), which lost 3.9% and 3.3% each. In the U.K. and Ireland, the gainers were led by Trinity Biotech (TRIB), and oil company Royal Dutch Shell’s B Shares (RDS.B), which rose 1.9% and 1.5% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications company Vodafone Group (VOD), and Royal Dutch Shell’s A Shares (RDS.A), which climbed 1.4% and 1.2% each.
